Content duplication problems in here can be eliminated.  Another thing with his is that it is not that optimal since the crawler, Google will need to really identify much more content. It isn’t that neat to maintain a single URL for everything.

Question 4: How can Google find my mobile site now, if it is not responsive?

  • Generate a mobile sitemap and upload it through Google Webmaster Tools.
  • Link sites between one version and another of the site if you’re using different URLs.
  • Good dynamic serving

Backlinking is for marketing purposes most of the time. But working on quality content is for human. It is for your readers. That’s why it is important to know what you really want to write and go for it. If you need to insert keywords, so be it. Just make sure that it’s not off topic and it is inserted naturally.

Limiting Keywords for Your Content for Maximum Rankings

Writing great content for users can really bring traffic to your website and this traffic is convertible to sales. When you publish quality content, you see to it that you have the important keywords in the article. You are writing for your readers and for the search engine at the same time. But don’t you know that each time you do this, you have the tendency to overstuff your post with keywords?

Whether you are writing for a finance site about credit cards or dating site about Middlesbrough dating, it is important to know that keywords should be used sparingly. In fact, when you start unoptimizing your article for a popular keyword, you increase your chance of maximizing your ranking for other relevant keywords or search terms. The key here is to make a list of keywords or list of topics you have in mind. Then take note of the frequency of keywords as you write an article. Keyword density plays a vital role in optimizing your page but sometimes, the lesser is better as long as there is a decent number.

Google does not directly check the keyword frequency of your post but it makes use of the technology TF-IDF or “Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency”. It is the statistical approach to know where your article is all about. There’s a way to calculate it manually but it would be something like math. If you can’t do your own TF-IDF Analysis, you can trust the expert with this and just do your part by continuously writing articles without overoptimizing it.

Over-Optimization Can Damage Your SEO Campaign

We all know that everything excessive is too much. The same things apply to search engine optimization. Your SEO practices should be in accordance to Google’s algorithm or else, your site will get penalized.

The first thing that you have to review is the site title. It must be something real and makes sense and not something that catch nothing but the big machine. Right now, the right approach is to show your brand name and not some generic keywords. Too much keyword repetition is also a no-no. It would be treated as spammy and can hurt your current ranking.

You also have to be wary of the onsite optimization. Use internal links sparingly. Too much links on your sidebar and within your content should be minimized. You should also try playing around the anchor text when linking to the same links. Modifying your anchor text from time to time on different pages can add better value to the linked site.

In terms of outgoing links, you have to be wary of the footer. Find natural ways to insert link, something that will encourage click-through and not just sitting links for the search engine. The same time applies to your content. Duplicate copies is not good for the search engine. Atleast rewrite or rephrase them before posting on other pages.

Those who are fond of link building should also reconsider reciprocal lists and article directories.

While Google continue to improve it’s algorithm, sometimes, trash websites can still get away from it. But how to they manage to stay on top of search engine result pages even with crappy content. The answer is simple, they are being manipulative. And by that, we mean that they can do blackhat SEO or something as simple as link baiting.

While some of their SEO strategies may be legal, it is still disappointing to a researcher to end up with their page if it can’t provide anything useful but tons of advertisements. As you can see, rankings can be easily manipulated. But the worst thing is, your website can also get penalized.

SEO Strategies For Different Keywords

When it comes to search engine optimization, knowing which keywords that people use everyday in search engines is not enough. You should know different strategies work depending on the particular keyword in question. Utilizing long keywords with little competition provides a greater impact when it comes to on-page optimization.

If you target keywords with a greater competition then you should have more back links to off-set the difficulty of the competition. This does not mean that you should not improve your on-page content. By optimizing your web page through a particular key phrase or keyword, it will reflect the fact that the keyword is relevant to the webpage itself. Doing this with each page can increase the chances of search engines indexing your website more than other websites.

Keep in mind that other websites may be using the same keywords. So in order for you to outclass their keyword’s effectiveness, you should also work on the backlinks pointing to the keyword optimized page. Also, optimizing more pages will help generate more traffic however, make sure that each page is optimized with a different keyword. You cannot risk your webpages to be cluttered with the same keyphrase or word unless you want the search engines to consider it as spam. It also does not mean that having more pages with keywords will give you great results. When it comes to search engine optimization, you should remember that the quality of the content is paramount. If your web page provides relevant and informative content and at the same time, includes effective backlinks then you can expect traffic to increase towards your website.
